With most ISPs, you only get a single uplink jack, but you probably have more than just the one computer. In my experience with these, you either get lucky and everything always works, or you’re hitting the reset button about everyday to reboot the thing so everyone can get on the wireless network. We won’t even begin to get into the evil that is the configuration utility.
For all these reasons, we want a better, more flexible, more configurable solution.
