Taken from first page: This guide will allow you to easily activate and unlock your brand new iPhone running Firmware 1.1.1. Don’t worry if you’re not sure which Firmware your iPhone is running. The steps to find out which Firmware you are running are at the beginning of this guide. This unlock guide is intended for brand new iPhones that have not yet been unlocked and running Firmware 1.1.1. If you are running Firmware 1.0.2 and have not yet unlocked your iPhone just simply update it to Firmware 1.1.1 through iTunes.

Note: If you have previously unlocked your iPhone running Firmware 1.0.2 or have bricked your unlocked iPhone by updating to 1.1.1 from 1.0.2 you must repair the baseband before performing this unlock. If this is you then just simply contact me and I will steer you in the right direction.

Please make sure that you follow this guide exactly as it is written and complete all the necessary steps. I recommend that you read the entire guide before starting the unlock process just to familiarize yourself with it. This is by far the easiest and most up to date guide available. However, you must have some computer knowledge. If you don’t feel comfortable around computers I would suggest having a friend that is more technically inclined perform the unlock for you.
