GMC Envoy was introduced a while back in 1998 as an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) manufactured by GMC. The first gen of GMC Envoy received a 5.2L LL8 I6 and 5.3L LM4 V8 engine, with a GMT360 platform shared with Chevy TrailBlazer, Oldsmobile Bravada, Isuzu Ascender, Buick Rainier and SAAB 9-7X. 2003 GMC Envoy is in the second generation of Envoy, during this generation 3 engines were become the standard engines fitted on this SUV. 4.2L LL8 Vortec 4200 I6 engine and 5.3L V8 features a Displacement on Demand that increase the fuel economy were amongst standard engine, while 5.3L V8 engine was only fitted on the Envoy XLs.
