Subaru Liberty is an alias of Subaru Legacy in Australia, the name was taken out of respect for the Legacy Australia, an organizations which dedicated to aids veterans and families.
The Liberty B4 was the third generation that was produced during 1998-2004, features the DOHC engine, twin-turbo 2.0L, a power split of 50/50 to the front and rear wheel for manual transmission drivetrain and 35/65 for the automatic transmission.
Later, in 2001 and 2002, Subaru introduced the B4 RS25 (2.5L DOHC) and B4 RS30 (3.0L EZ30 DOHC flat-6 engine.
