Information Contained in this document will give the technician the basic knowledge of the Electronic Controlled Fuel Injection System used in the Turbocharged 1.6L Colt Engine and 2.6L Conquest Engines so that technician can diagnose and repair the system.

Modern Computer technology keeps the engine running within proper specifications so that engine operation is cleaner for reduced emission while delivering greater fuel economy, yet the engine also delivers the best possible performance in all driving situation.

ECI is a computer Controlled single point pulsating fuel injection that provides a precise air/fuel ratio for all driving conditions.
