Chevrolet Cobat (or simply Chevy Cobalt) was introduced to replace Chevrolet Cavalier and Chevrolet Prizm in compact car segment, it was first introduced in 2004 by its automaker, Chevrolet. In the front suspension, independent MacPherson struts is installed on Chevy Cobalt and to increase stability in the rear part semi independent torsion bar is also used. Under the engine hood, 2.2 L LAP I4 engine is mounted on the 2006 Chevy Cobalt to replace ite previous base engine 2.2 L L61 I4 and 2.4 L LE5 I4. Available transmission: manual transmission: F35 (MU3) and Getrag F23, automatic transmission: 4T45.
