2004 Chevy Equinox is a crossover SUV in FWD layout as its standard with optional AWD layout. Chevy Equinox’s platform is GM Theta Platform, with unibody similar to GMC Terrain, Saturn Vue and Pontiac Torrent, larger than Vue and longer than Saturn but due its limitation being a unibody, Chevy Equinox is not designed for serious off road activity unlike Chevy Trailblazer or Chevrolet Tahoe that is based on truck.
Engine available is 3.4L LNJ V6 and 3.6L LY7 V6 with an Aisin AF33 automatic transmission.
